Is there a dress code for dance classes?

Yes! Proper dance attire allows for proper movement. It also allows teachers to easily spot body alignment issues and leads to fewer distractions and injuries in class.

Ballet - Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes. Hair is to be worn completely pulled back into a bun, all hair out of the face.

Jazz, Tap, Lyrical - Athletic wear or form-fitted clothing. Class appropriate shoes; Tap shoes for tap, etc. Hair is to be pulled back off the face and neck.

Strength & Stretching - Active wear that allows for easy movement. Hair is to be pulled back off the face and neck.
